👉 Saturday 23 July 2022 at 11:00 am Marina De Franceschini will lecture at the School of Archaeoastronomy about "Astronomical symbols in ancient Rome".

✅ She will talk about her studies and research method which includes a theoretical part in the library and a practical part with direct observations on the spot.

✅ She will talk about some astronomically oriented ancient Roman monuments where she discovered extraordinary illuminations: the Pantheon, Villa Adriana and Castel Sant'Angelo and many others.

✅ The School of Archaeoastronomy, now in its sixth edition, is sponsored by the SIA (Italian Society of Archeaostronomy) and by Miur as an updating course for teachers and professors. It provides students with the fundamental tools to deal with Archaeoastronomy, recognize a good thesis from a wrong one, and understand the importance of a sound scientific approach.
